The Raven

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,

The Raven – Edgar Allan Poe

The raven that inspired Edgar Allan Poe to write the poem The Raven, is now on display at the Free Library of Philadelphia. Charles Dickens’ pet raven “Grip” which Dickens had a taxidermist stuff and preserve is one of the more unusual items in the Philadelphia library’s Dickens collection.
