Stereogranimator: Make and Share Animated GIFs from Historic Stereographs

NYPL Labs is an experimental unit at the New York Public Library that develops ideas and tools for digital research. Their newest project is the Stereogranimator, a tool for transforming historical stereographs from The New York Public Library’s vast collections into shareable 3D web formats. You can search or browse the library’s collection of over 40,000 stereographs and make your own (or search the gallery of animated GIFs that other people have made)
