For a while in the 1970’s, Tippi Hedren, her husband Noel Marshall, and their children Melanie Griffith, John Marshall and Jerry Marshall opened their house to various lions while filming the move ROAR. No animals were harmed in the filming of this movie but lots of people were. Tippi Hedren is the founder of Shambala, an animal sanctuary for large cats. She currently lives on the premises.
