Lunch at Mystic Lake Buffet

Jimmy and I went to Mystic Lake yesterday to take advantage of the January 1/2 price buffet special (for the 2nd time). Since I knew I’d get asked what I ate, I took pictures.

First Plate 

Corn Relish
Black Eyed Peas with Tomato and Feta
Chickpeas with Yogurt and Indian Spices
Lentils with Sausage and Tomato
Cheddar Cheese

I was planning on getting fruit and a salad but since I’m supposed to eat more legumes thought I’d try these salads (which I hadn’t seen at the buffet before). They were all very good and I cleared my plate.







Second Plate 

Grouper with Black Bean Sauce. 
Haddock
Blackened Salmon
Grouper with Black Bean Sauce 
Cheese Wontons
Black Olives
I was about to make a salad since Mystic Lake’s salad bar has all of my favorite ingrediants but then I spotted the grouper. I had this earlier in the month (It’s 2 for one buffet this month – we don’t usually head to the casino that often) and it was so good I decided to skip the salad.

  1. I'll have to try some of the food on your first plate. I always get blackened salmon, which is delicious with squash, but I haven't noticed squash lately. It's a great buffet, though!
