The old mining town of Virginia City is about 30 miles south of Reno up a curvy mountain road. Part way up there’s a scenic lookout so we stopped to take a look and take pictures. Jimmy took this picture because I was nervous about climbing up the stone steps to the lookout.
Also a few of these stone things that look like they were used for cooking. We looked for information about what the site was but couldn’t find any.
We made it to Virginia City. It got cloudy and grey and I forgot to take more pictures. We did tour part of an old mine (and felt very sorry for how burrows were treated), road the tour bus around town and got an entertaining history of the city (we were the only people on the bus), and went to a museum.
