NetFlix Rental Patterns, Or Minnesota Loves The Bucket List

The New York Times has an Interactive Map of Netflix Queues covering 100 “frequently rented” titles from 2009 for 12 metropolitan areas. Mental Floss notes The Bucket List was popular almost nowhere except in Minneapolis. I just wanted to clarify that it was not popular in Minneapolis. It was popular in Minnetonka, Shakopee, Eagan, etc. It was not in the top 50 in my zip code.

  1. Cool feature. Just for the record, I live in Shakopee and have no desire to see The Bucket List. It's #47 in Shakopee–just barely makes the top 50. #1 is Seven Pounds, which seems odd.

  2. I haven't seen the movie or done any research on its popularity in our area, but The Bucket List is possibly popular in Minnetonka because a lot of old people live here. It's okay if you pick on us once in a while!
