HP-12C

There’s now an online emulator for the HP-12C!

I am really excited. I really hate using standard calculators. They don’t make sense at all. If I ever have to add anything up at work, I use excel.

And this calculator is amazing. It’s programmable, uses reverse polish notation and has easily accessible financial functions. I have had mine since March 25, 1985. When you start work at an actuarial firm there’s one on your desk. I would not be surprised if that is still true.

I’ve had my calculator for 8,534 days (23.365 years). It does lots of other cool things and sometimes, you just don’t want to turn the computer on.

June 2013 Update: This calculator is so amazing that they still sell them!
